The Lakes Classic Gin, 70cl

The Lakes Classic Gin from The Lakes Distillery is made with botanicals including juniper, black pepper and orange peel. Orris root, cassia bark and liquorice offer complementary flavours with lemon peel also enhancing the citrus notes.

The botanicals are steeped overnight in the base British wheat spirit slowly releasing the delicate essential oils. The traditional copper pot still then runs slow and long to extract the maximum amount of flavour. Finally, the resulting spirit is blended with the purest water drawn from the distillery's Lake District National Park home in a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

Each sip yields a peppery, citrus burst that benefits from a ribbon of orange peel or a small slice of pink grapefruit as a garnish.

At its bottled strength of 46% Alc. this gin is an exceptionally smooth London dry style in a stunning glass bottle, engraved with the distillery's logo.

The Lakes Gin was the only classic gin in the UK region to receive a Gold award in the 2019 World Gin Awards.
