Wire Works Whisky Bundle: Caduro and Alter Ego (2 x 70cl)
A duo of two superb English Single Malt whiskies in striking bottles.
1 x Caduro is White Peak's first Wire Works expression of 2023! A single malt whisky, lightly peated and blended from spirit rested in a range of bourbon barrels as well as their signature STR (Shaved, Toasted, Re-charred) French wine barriques. 70cl, 46.8% Alc.
Tasting Note: Crisp apple and candied lemon zest. Notes of buttery fudge, nuts and vanilla cream yield to roasted malt, gentle peat smoke and a gentle spicy finish.
1 x Alter Ego is a single malt expression that stays true to the fundamental Wire Works style of previous releases, Alter Ego has been made using lengthier cut points and some ageing in 1st fill bourbon casks. This has a produced a fruiter style, with vanilla and butterscotch aromas and a boost of gentle peatiness. 70cl, 51.5% Alc.
Tasting Note: Aromas of vanilla curd filled pastries with a malty grain along with some toasted pineapple. Gently toasty in the mouth, caramel, sweet citrus and a lick of smoke.
These beautiful looking bottles are modelled on twisted wire (in a nod to the former Wire Works location) and would make a stunning present for any whisky lover.
