Filey Bay Flagship English Whisky, 46% Alc.

Distilled in sunny Yorkshire with 100% locally-grown barley and aged in bourbon casks, this whisky offers delightful notes of honeycomb, vanilla, and peachy fruit. There's a very pleasing floral finish with gingerbread and citrus peel.

Perfect for those who like a fruitier style of whisky. Flagship is light and creamy, natural in colour and non chill filtered. An excellent introduction to English Whisky!

Filey Bay Peated Finish English Whisky, Batch 3, 46% Alc.

Filey Bay is now on Batch 3 of this impressive Peated Finish whisky. Distilled in Yorkshire, the whisky was first matured in a selection of first-fill bourbon barrels, before a undergoing a secondary maturation in peated casks. Bottled with its natural colour at 46% ABV.

First released in 2021, the first batch of this single malt was Filey Bay's fastest selling finished whisky ever with the second batch wining a highly coveted World Whisky Master award. Batch #3 more than measures up to the previous releases - it's subtle and softly smoky but with bucketloads of character.

Mostly matured in first-fill bourbon casks filled in the winter of 2018 before a secondary maturation in peated casks, this single malt is well worth trying, especially if you like the style of malts from the west coast of Scotland.

A light, fresh whisky with a coastal tang. Flavours of caramel, peat smoke and citrus.

Filey Bay STR Cask Finish English Whisky, 46% Alc.

Matured first in ex-bourbon casks, which bring delicious creamy notes to The Spirit of Yorkshire's light and fruity spirit style, they then move the whisky into an STR cask for a second maturation period. STR casks are ex-red wine casks that have been Shaved, Toasted and Re-charred, creating the perfect environment for their light and creamy whisky to draw out the delicious red fruit flavours from the wood.

This way of treating red wine casks (STR) was pioneered by the late, great Dr. Jim Swan who assisted the distillery as they got up and running. Treating the casks in this way tempers the tannins in the red wine casks and allows the flavour inside the wood to really come to the fore.

Light, Floral & Fruity. Bursting with red fruit flavours, vanilla ice cream and toasty oak.

Filey Bay Double Oak (Batch 2) English Whisky, 46% Alc.

This English single malt from The Spirit of Yorkshire Distillery (in Yorkshire obvs) is matured in a combination of virgin oak (adding fruit and spice) and bourbon casks (vanilla and toffee). It's packed with flavours of sweet dried fruit, creamy vanilla malt, and sweet cinnamon spice flavours.

The previous bottling (Double Oak Batch 1) was awarded a coveted World Whisky Master in 2022 - the team have built on this success and produced a limited run of 2000 bottles of Batch 2.

The virgin oak brings fruity and spicy notes, whilst the ex-bourbon casks balance this with vanilla and toffee flavours. The selection process meant sampling across a range of 100 first-fill ex-bourbon casks. A number of these were then transferred into Virgin Oak casks, and regularly nosed and tasted for 13 months to find the perfect balance.

Filey Bay Moscatel Finish English Whisky, Batch 4, 46% Alc.

Filey Bay is now on Batch 4 of this impressive Moscatel-finished whisky. The single malt had a primary maturation in ex-Bourbon casks before being transferred to Spanish hogsheads which previously held Moscatel - adding depth and sweetness. Bottled with its natural colour at 46% ABV.

First launched in 2020, Filey Bay Moscatel Finish was the first of their cask-finished whiskies - the previous Batches have won a number of awards including Gold at the World Whisky Masters 2022.

Soft, Sweet & Fruity with flavours of orange, honey, dried fruits and cocoa.

Filey Bay IPA Cask Finish English Whisky, Batch 2, 46% Alc.

This is the second batch of Filey Bay's IPA Beer Cask Finished single malt whisky. Having already established this is a combination that worked really well for its spirit, Filey Bay have once again worked with with sibling company World Top Brewery to finish its whisky in casks that previously held Scarborough Fair IPA beer.

Filey Bay IPA Finish explores the possibilities of their unique position as farmers, brewers and distillers; i.e. both whisky (and beer) are 100% field to bottle.

Green apple, malty biscuits, bright tropical fruit, oak spice and roasted nuts. A particularly attractive floral, barley note on the finish. Simply delicious!
