Founded in 2011, and one of the UK’s most highly awarded artisan distillers, English Spirit Distillers has a clear goal: "Make the finest spirits England has to offer"
Using pioneering techniques, they distil their spirits and liqueurs from scratch: spirits so good they can be drunk neat with no burn. Gins, single malts, rums... the range of options is extensive.
Distilling from scratch, their spirits are of such high quality that they can comfortably be drunk neat (but are of course great with mixers too!)
Dr. John Waters, Head Distiller
John has over 30,000 hours of experience at the stills, and is regarded as one of the UK’s most expert distillers. His philosophy on distilling spirits is the same today as it was then: only the best, nothing less.
Today, he distils the UK’s widest variety of different spirits and liqueurs under one roof. He's responsible for Britain’s first rum, sambuca and baijiu and has won World’s Best Vodka, World’s Best Gin, World’s Best Rum and many more prestigious international awards.
Distilleries
There are two distillery sites in the UK:
Great Yeldham Hall, located in the picturesque Essex countryside boasts twenty copper pot alembic stills, and is the home of English rum.
The second, Treguddick, is nestled in a valley just outside Launceston in Cornwall, and is a new state-of the-art distillery.
