The Oxford Artisan Distillery Rye Organic Dry Gin, 70cl
The Oxford Artisan Distillery Rye Organic Dry Gin is a juniper-forward rye gin that uses a classic combination of juniper, pine and citrus, and a hint of aromatic spice to give a distinctive, tasty spirit.
Like all their other spirits, the gin base is distilled from heritage grains, grown exclusively for the Distillery and mostly within 50 miles of Oxford. They avoid use of pesticides and chemical fertilisers and all of the crops are grown sustainably - this encourages the spread of wildflowers, insects and birds across the nearby farms.
Try a classic G&T: fill a highball glass with ice and pour in 1 part gin to 3 parts tonic water. Garnish with a slice of apple.
Botanical mix includes: Juniper, Coriander, Angelica Root, Orris Root, Lemon Peel, Orange Peel, Bitter Orange Peel, Nutmeg, Cubeb, Liquorice Root, Meadowsweet and Angelica Seed.
The distillery’s grain actually improves soil health in the English countryside - it is grown specifically for the distillery, making The Oxford Artisan Distillery the only distillery in the world with a license to use these strains of heritage grains, farmed exclusively for flavour and not volume of crop.
